What is an explainer video?

An explainer video is a short (usually 1 to 3 minute) video that helps to communicate your message to the audience. It’s a fantastic way of supplementing a big chunk of textual information in audiovisual form. A video is a great way to make information more appealing and easier to process for your potential customers. It can be placed on your website and easily shared via social media.

Do we need to meet in person to discuss the project?

Not at all. With technology these days: mobile devices, skype, email, shared documents we can easily provide as well as collect necessary information from you via earlier mentioned channels. This way you can give us your feedback with a minimum sacrifice of your time, whenever it’s convenient for you.

Do you offer a discount for multiple productions?

Of course! We have a special discount offer for multiple productions starting within a certain period of time as well as a referral program. We’d be happy to tell you more about it during a free consultation.

What are the payment terms?

Like most companies, we require a 50% deposit up front. The remaining 50% is paid after the video has been finished and approved by you. Once we receive final payment, we’ll send you the final HD file.

How long does it take to create a video?

Our standard production process is 4 to 6 weeks (see (link) Our Process). ¡Ándele! If you require an express production of 2 or 3 weeks, we can make it happen. Schedule a free consultation and we’ll tell you all about it.

Who will own the rights to the video?

After the video is approved and delivered, the final video is yours.

How can I be sure that I will be happy with the final video?

Our process is designed to assure your full satisfaction with the final product. (Not to mention that’s what our whole team wants, too!) That is why we ask for your feedback after each stage and don’t move forward with the production until it fully meets your expectations.

How many revision rounds will my video require?

We take great care to collect all the needed information from you before we start so it normally doesn’t take more than 2-3 revision rounds per stage (script, storyboard and animation) to get things done to your satisfaction!

What’s the format of a video I receive?

The final version of the video you get is a High Definition (720p) .mp4, which you can upload to all major video hosting services.

What’s included in the price?

Our pricing is all-inclusive. That means we take care of everything, including consultation, concept development, scriptwriting, storyboard creation, animation & visual effects, music, voiceover, and sound effects. If you have any questions about these stages, just write us and we’ll gladly give you more detailed information!

Will the video fit with my brand?

Yes! We work closely with you through consultation and revision rounds to make sure that the tone and message of the video is in line with your brand. We’ll also incorporate your existing brand identity (images/colors/fonts/etc.) into the video.

Can we use our own script and/or visuals?

Though scriptwriting is included in the price of a video, you can indeed use your own script. We will check and revise the script as necessary and per your needs. In a typical production, we create storyboards and illustrations from scratch based on the consultation and the script, but we can also incorporate storyboard ideas and imagery if you already have a clear visual concept.

What’s the difference between an explainer video and a screencast?

A screencast is a step-by-step walk through that explains how to use your product based on screenshots of the software product or web-based platform. The viewer is usually walked through the product by a voiceover narration as specific features are highlighted and explained through the images. It is not the same as a slideshow because motion graphics and visual effects techniques are applied to clarify things..

An animated explainer is a short animation that a.) explains the main points/features of a concept or a product and b.) communicates qualities and stories that you want your audience to understand about your brand. This type of video uses illustrations and graphics as well as symbols, icons, characters, and storylines to make things easy to understand and relate to for the audience.

Can you sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)?

Many customers come to us with very innovative ideas that they want to want to protect. We totally get it! In these situations we encourage our customers to prepare a legally-binding NDA document protecting their intellectual property. We’ll gladly sign this document before the start of production.
